Fourth clinical appointment

Fourth clinical appointment – Summary of Completed Denture Handover Process

When delivering a completed denture, the following steps are taken to ensure functionality and comfort:

  1. Final Checks:
    • Confirm the same criteria assessed during the wax try-in, including suction, stability, and occlusal contact during jaw movements.
    • Assess excursive movements for proper contact relations.
  2. Patient Education:
    • Advise patients on denture and oral hygiene practices.
    • Emphasize the importance of regular dental check-ups to monitor oral health and denture fit.
  3. Follow-Up:
    • Schedule the first check-up within 2–3 days post-treatment.
    • Address pressure spots and make minor occlusal adjustments if needed.
    • Inform the patient that minor pressure sores may occur with new dentures and can be corrected during these follow-ups.
  4. BPS System Benefits:
    • The BPS (Biofunctional Prosthetic System) leverages decades of expertise to provide high-quality outcomes, ensuring satisfaction for clinicians, technicians, and patients alike.
