Fourth clinical appointment – Summary of Completed Denture Handover Process
When delivering a completed denture, the following steps are taken to ensure functionality and comfort:
- Final Checks:
- Confirm the same criteria assessed during the wax try-in, including suction, stability, and occlusal contact during jaw movements.
- Assess excursive movements for proper contact relations.
- Patient Education:
- Advise patients on denture and oral hygiene practices.
- Emphasize the importance of regular dental check-ups to monitor oral health and denture fit.
- Follow-Up:
- Schedule the first check-up within 2–3 days post-treatment.
- Address pressure spots and make minor occlusal adjustments if needed.
- Inform the patient that minor pressure sores may occur with new dentures and can be corrected during these follow-ups.
- BPS System Benefits:
- The BPS (Biofunctional Prosthetic System) leverages decades of expertise to provide high-quality outcomes, ensuring satisfaction for clinicians, technicians, and patients alike.
